Team spirit is essential either in sports or friendship. If you don't feel like fitting in or if you think it is not your type of group move out immediately.
Do not stay there any longer and interfere the team spirit others hold. This won't affect an individual in any way. But as a team you'll have to face a lot of issues. Unity is a must if you are in a team.
Or, if you have a difference of opinion, open up and say instead of talking behind the scene and telling it indirectly. This is one way of blending in.
